TREATING TRAUMA

Trauma can look different to each person. For one person, a trauma might be a life-threatening car accident or sexual abuse. For another person, trauma might look like being bullied by peers or experiencing divorce as a child. Trauma can be classified as any life experience (either lived personally or witnessed) that caused severe emotional pain.

Sometimes even years after a traumatic event has occurred, people may still be greatly impacted by their trauma.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprossesing (EMDR) is an evidence-based treatment for individuals struggling with effects from trauma. I am fully trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprossesing (EMDR) through EMDRIA and feel passionately about helping people heal from their traumatic experiences.
